The central suction system will provide your knitting department financial, economical, and environmental benefits by eliminating the need for individual suction fans in knitting machines (approx. 4.0 kW/mc) provided to generate suction pressure for thread and fabric. Suction pipes from the filter box (2nos./mc ) and fabric pickup (1no./mc) are connected to central suction from the pipe. A group of machines is connected to a high-pressure radial flow fan through the main suction line. Press on the machine is monitored using a pressure sensor which controls the fan speed through VFD thus ensuring constant pressure at all machine points.
Major advantages of central suction system over individual suction fans:
- Power saving of approximately 40-50% using central suction
- Reduction in room temperature due to elimination of heat discharge from suction fans
- Reduced air conditioning load
- Better working condition due to lower sound level in knitting department
